Which steps should you follow to make the delectable CREAM CHICKEN SOUP?

When the winters have approached, then no one wants to cook a full-fledged meal. In that situation, we cannot stay hungry for sure. We can consider taking the cream chicken soup recipe at that time. This recipe is fit to be consumed during the winters. It does not only provide you with wholesome nutrition, rather it also helps you to keep yourself warm to protect yourself from the chilled weather.

So how can we make this happen? Check out the recipe:


  • olive oil
  • Unsalted Butter
  • flour
  • garlic clove
  • elery stick diced
  • chicken stock/broth preferably low sodium
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder
  • powder
  • finely chopped brown onion
  • Dried Thyme
  • Diced carrot
  • red capsicum
  • bell pepper
  • Black Pepper
  • frozen peas
  • cooked chicken breasts

Let’s proceed with the instructions:


Take a large pan which should be deep bottomed. Now add the oil. Try to heat the oil on a high flame. After that add the following ingredients to the pan:

  • Onions
  • Garlic

Sautee them nicely for about 2 minutes. You will get to know whether the ingredients are perfectly sauteed or not by having a glance at them. IF the onions turn out to be translucent, then these are perfectly sauteed else you will have to saute for more time.


Now it’s time to make your soup buttery. For that, you have to add the butter to the pan and do not add the other ingredient until the butter is nicely melted. Once the butter is melted, add the flour and keep on mixing it.


Once the butter is completely mixed with the flour and the vegetables, then you should add the chicken broth and keep on stirring it whole, pouring a little side by side. If you do not do so, then you will experience several lumps in the soup.


Once you have added all the items in the soup, now it’s time for you to perform the last step which is about seasoning with the following:

  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Dried Thyme

Step 5:

Once the soup gets thickened, then add the pieces of the chicken and the pages in it side by side. Make sure, you are stirring the soup continuously, otherwise, the soup may either get burnt or overcooked.

One important tip

If you do not want to make your soup only liquified, then make sure you are adding some crotons to it.


If you want to make the croutons, then for that you have to follow the subsequent steps:


Take two slices of the bread and cut them into as many cubs as you can.


Sprinkle the oil and the salt on the cubes. Now you have to bake them until they give a nice golden color and crispy flavor.
